Clinical Advisors for Wave Magazine role description

Do you have an eye for detail? 

Rolling applications are open for Clinical Advisors to join our magazine, Wave.

Wave is our quarterly Fellow and members magazine, publishing stories and articles of interest to all of our members and fellows. Sections range from news and analysis, features, trainees, leadership, and your college. Established in Autumn 2024, this is a wonderful time to join the team.

As a Clinical Advisor, you will work directly with the Editor. You will be asked to read journalistic articles and news stories to check for clinical accuracy.

The role will involve this following responsibilities:

  • Once a quarter, you'll be sent two or three articles which are either cross-faculty or relevant to your specialty, to sense check for clinical accuracy.
  • You will be asked to feedback within one week with any questions, queries, comments, suggestions.
  • On occasion, we might contact you with a shorter time frame to sense check a paragraph or short passage.

In return, you will appear in the magazine as Clinical Advisor. This role is open to resident doctors as well as consultants.
