The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is the leading membership body for doctors who treat cancer (Clinical Oncologists) and interpret medical imaging (Radiologists). It is our job to ensure members are supported throughout their career so that they can make a real difference to the lives of patients.
Part of our activities include putting on events, courses and conferences that support doctors during their training and continuous professional development. Despite being a charity, we strive to make income from these events with the surplus funding other activities that we deliver for the membership.
To be successful in this role and secure commission, you will need strong commercial acumen and an ability to identify and target corporate partners who will be interested in the opportunity, developing a relationship with those key targets to secure sales. We are looking for someone with significant experience in securing sales against considerable income targets to come onboard and drive this work forward for the RCR.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure income targets are met.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the RCR’s products and events.
- Develop and maintain the sales pipeline, actively promoting opportunities for sponsorship and exhibition externally.
- Complete market research and competitor analysis to ensure our offers are attractive and priced in a way that delivers financial benefit to the College.
- Expertly lead negotiations, breaking down barriers to sales.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of securing sales against considerable income targets.
- Experience of undertaking market research and analysis to improve existing offers.
- Experience of negotiating, managing, pricing corporate sponsorship and partnership activities.
- Commercial acumen.
- Ability to identify additional opportunities for revenue growth and bring those opportunities to fruition.
