QSI Quality Mark Committee

The purpose of the QSI Quality Mark Committee is to ensure the quality of the Colleges’ QSI scheme. This includes the standards that underpin the scheme, the decisions made under the auspices of the scheme, and services’ experience of engaging with the Colleges via the scheme.

Membership of the QSI Quality Mark Committee includes six appointed members, a lay representative, a representative of the College of Radiographers and a representative of the Royal College of Radiologists.

Appointed members are responsible for:

  • Providing advice and support to set, assure and enhance standards of quality for imaging services.
  • Assuring the quality of the Colleges new scheme including policies, procedures, training, reports and responses to feedback.
  • Quality assuring the decision-making process with respect to the endorsement of organisations seeking evaluation against the Quality Standards for Imaging, ensuring that standards are applied consistently but with appropriate flexibility and inclusivity.
  • Reflecting the needs of the whole imaging team including radiologists, radiographers, and health care professionals.
  • Advising on the strategic direction of joint college QI activities.
