Policy and influencing
The External Affairs team work to advocate on your behalf, to represent your views and to build the reputation of clinical radiology and clinical oncology both nationally and locally. Ultimately, the team aims to influence changes to improve your working lives and benefit your patients.
To achieve this mission, the team gathers evidence and insight, uses it to build expert policy solutions, then drives change across the UK by working closely with local health systems, the NHS, and government. The RCR regularly meets with Members of Parliament and government ministers to put to them your priorities. RCR representatives in the media communicate your concerns and make the case for the changes needed to secure a sustainable future for clinical radiology and clinical oncology.
