Dr David Little elected as Medical Director, Education and Training, Clinical Radiology
We’re delighted to announce that Dr David Little has been elected as the incoming Medical Director, Education and Training (MDET), Clinical Radiology. Dr Little will officially start from 1 September 2025, taking over from the current MDET, Dr Priya Suresh.
Dr Little will play a leading role within the Faculty of Clinical Radiology. He will be responsible for all aspects of specialty training work, as well as professional learning and development, and academic activities.
Dr Little said: “I am honoured to have been elected to the role of MDET. Resident doctors are the future of our specialty. I am committed to prioritising their training and empowering the next generation of clinical radiologists with the knowledge and skills they require to provide the best outcomes for patients.”
Dr Little completed his undergraduate training in Manchester before moving to the South West. He completed his radiology training in Severn and is a consultant radiologist at Royal United Hospitals Bath, with specialist interests in nuclear medicine, PET-CT and head & neck radiology.
Dr Little is a past chair of the Radiology Resident Doctors Forum and has been involved in the College throughout his consultant career including roles on the RCR Undergraduate Committee, Curriculum Committee and Specialty Training Board and lead for ST3 recruitment.
Dr Little is currently Head of Severn School of Radiology, having previously held the position of Training Programme Director.

David brings a wealth of experience in local, regional and national training leadership and is a strong advocate for residents and training.
