Professor Stuart Taylor is an emeritus NIHR senior Investigator, Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, past chair of the NIHR Imaging group and the National Speciality Lead for Imaging in the new NIHR RDN structure. His research interest is in Gastrointestinal radiology and he chairs the research committee for the European Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology. He is past president of BSGAR.

The theme for this year’s annual CR research day is connecting the radiology research community. Get insights from expert speakers comprising radiologists of different subspecialties representing the various special interest groups of the RCR. Our inspiring keynote speakers will comprise of internationally renowned academics who will share their insights into the challenges they faced in their lives and careers as they tried to carve out their academic niche. Consultant Paediatric Radiologist, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children
Dr Susan Shelmerdine is a consultant paediatric radiologist based at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children and a post-doctoral academic funded by the NIHR for her research work on artificial intelligence for children’s imaging. She is currently the lead for education subcommittee of the RCR AI committee, taskforce chair for AI at the European Society of Paediatric Radiology and also research lead for the South West London AI Group.
