Event overview

Building on the success of our previous courses, we’re delighted to announce the fourth annual joint Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and British Society of Paediatric Radiology (BSPR) study day 2025.

The radiological assessment of acute intrabdominal pathology in children can be challenging, and a timely diagnosis is often required. This one-day virtual course provides a comprehensive overview of the major pathology a paediatric radiologists or radiologist with an interest in paediatrics will see in routine practice, including practical tips to reach a prompt diagnosis.

5 CPD points will be awarded on completion of this course. Please note this event will not be available to view on-demand post event.

Learning objectives

  1. Review imaging findings of paediatric intra-abdominal pathology
    encompassing GI (including pancreatic and hepatobilliary) and GU tracts.
  2. Gain insights into the optimal and complementary use of modalities.
  3. Highlight and refresh topics and what ‘not to miss’

RCR consultant Fellows and members: Consultants with an active RCR membership.

RCR member trainees: This applies to trainees with an active RCR membership Allied healthcare professionals (AHP): This applies to AHPs who will not have an RCR membership, including, radiographers, physicists, SHOs, SAS doctors and medical students.

Non-member consultants: Consultants who don't have an active RCR membership.

Non-member trainees: Trainees who don't have an active RCR membership. 

Lower middle income country registration: A reduced registration fee is available for those who reside in and working in a lower or middle income country (LMIC) as defined by the World Bank. These rates do not apply if you are originally from one of these countries but are now practising elsewhere.
