Dr Karol Sicher Cancer Research Fellowship
This Fellowship is intended for a period of study in support of research, in any aspect of cancer diagnosis, assessment or management.
This can be for up to three months during 2024 (from April onwards) in the United Kingdom or abroad. This biennial Fellowship that was endowed in 1995, by a legacy from the estate of the late Dr Karol Sicher.
The purpose is to learn a research technique that could be utilised in the applicant's own department. At the end of the Fellowship, the successful candidate will be required to render a report to RCR.
Funding
Up to £7,000. Due note will be taken of other sources of funding obtained by applicants.
Eligibility
The Fellowship is open to Fellows and members of the RCR from both Faculties, holding a clinical appointment of any grade in the United Kingdom.

Assessment procedure
An assessment panel nominated by the RCR will consider applications in open competition. The decision of the assessment panel is final and binding. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their applications in March 2024.
