Oliver came to the RCR from a varied career across the private and charity sectors. He was the Head of the Public Services and Partnerships team at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO). Subsequent to this he was the Director of Delivery and Performance at the New Forest National Park Authority and then spent six years as the Director of Fellowship at the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacturing and Commerce (RSA).
He is the Chair of Sands (Stillbirth and Neo-natal Death Society), is the Chair of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Membership Committee and was a council member of the National Trust.
Oliver is responsible for the executive leadership, operation and development of the RCR. The Chief Executive's Office ensures the RCR's timely and effective governance, compliance and accountability.
Our staff
Tania leads education and professional policy development. The Education and Professional Practice Directorate supports Fellows and members throughout their specialty training and post-qualification career development in clinical radiology or clinical oncology. The Directorate ensures the effective delivery and development of the RCR's education and professional practice functions, including:
- The provision of face-to-face and online educational opportunities and resources
- Promoting careers in the specialties to students and junior doctors
- Processes for recruitment to specialty training
- Setting the curricula for training
- Setting and running examinations
- Quality assurance of training
- Developing and reviewing best practice guidance and standards
- Running the CPD scheme and revalidation
- Supporting employers with recruitment and service reviews.
David leads the development of the RCR as a business, ensuring the effective procurement of services and products, the diversification of income and the relevance of policies and processes for investment, reserves, pricing and sponsorship.
The Business and Resources Directorate ensures members and Fellows have the best value in the way the RCR operates and is best equipped to develop in order to meet future needs. This extends to financial and investment activities, its information technology and communications services and its facilities and estate.
Gemma is responsible for membership, member engagement, policy, press, public affairs, digital and our publications.
A former journalist, she has led communications at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Ofsted and BookTrust.
