Are you a clinical radiologist with a strong interest in education and learning? Do you recognise the importance of digital learning in today's global age? Are you interested in advancing your professional development by contributing to the creation of high-quality e-learning resources for radiologists? If so, this role may be a great fit for you.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to lead a crucial area of work that impacts every RCR trainee and consultant in the UK and around the world. Our current e-learning offer rates highly in our Fellow and member feedback, but we have big ambitions for it to be substantially better, providing vital learning support to all our members, wherever they are in their radiology career.

With a staff team of learning experts, learning technologists, project managers, administration support and more, you'll be well-supported in leading an exciting and fast-changing area of the College's work that it's investing in.

What's involved?

The purpose of this role is to lead the development of a range of CPD e-learning activities which align with the three-year RCR Learning strategy:

  • Provide strategic and visionary leadership to establish the RCR Learning hub as the go-to resource for online radiology learning globally.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of e-learning resources on the RCR Learning hub which support the RCR's strategic priorities and the needs of our membership globally.
  • Build and lead the e-learning faculty of SMEs, supporting the recruitment of doctors based in the UK and across the globe, ensuring regular meetings to co-develop learning activities, and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate closely with the RCR Learning team who develop, plan, organise and market the RCR's CPD learning resources.
  • As part of the RCR Learning Strategic Board, attend quarterly meetings and contribute to the ongoing direction of RCR Learning more widely.
  • Work closely with the RCR Learning Lead ensuring collaborative working across live, blended and e-learning, including attending the Learning Faculty Lead Group annually
  • Chairing at least one strategic planning session annually with the e-learning Faculty Leads.
  • Check-ins with e-learning faculty members leading workstreams.
  • Ongoing recruitment and succession planning of the e-learning faculty, supported by the RCR Learning team.
  • Undertaking other duties relevant to the scope of the role in line with the faculty and RCR strategic priorities.
